The PLP Standard Coaching Course is designed for individuals new to coaching hockey or those looking to enhance their foundational knowledge of the game. This course provides an introduction to coaching techniques, hockey rules, and strategies while emphasizing player development and effective communication. It will also provide a practice template for structuring a proper practice. The course will also include drills for each section in the practice template. Coaches will gain the skills needed to teach the fundamentals of hockey, from skating, puck handling, battle drills, flow drills, small area games, and teamwork.
